Tieka is my first Lagotto.
She was born on the 11th of July 1999 and since 9 weeks of age has changed our lives completely.
She is everything you read about Lagotti. She is so sweet but not a sissy, calm but also very active, accommodating but also independent.
She loves everyone and is great with children.
Tieka is the “lapdog” of the family. A real cuddly dog.
She’s just a wonderful little dog!
Lagotti love life and are a pleasure to have around.
Tieka and I followed obedience courses since she was a puppy. Needless to say this was a breeze for her, it’s what being a Lagotto all is about! She just loves to please.
When she was old enough to do agility she bloomed and became even more confident within her self. She was so good that we had to change to a “professional” school before she became bored with just the basic fun lessons.
Tieka followed obedience and agility at this new school. What with the different teaching methods that confused both of us, and the new puppy (Zanna) who also had to “go to school” I decided that just the agility class was enough and stopped the obedience lessons.
Tieka loves it. And I am extremely proud to say that 8-6-2002 we succeeded in getting our “agility 2” diploma and next season start for the real stuff….. Competitions! To be honest this scares me to bits but Piet, our teacher, insists that its fun and is the reason for doing all of this in the first place. So next season will be another big experience for us. Whether we do well or not we will at the very least meet (and hopefully make) lots more dog freaks
